We offer a free, no obligation, taster session or taster day for schools. We come in and teach the children and young people a range of Taekwondo and self defence skills, along with fitness and agility. It is a fun packed session/day, and a huge hit with both the children and staff. The energy of Mr Cousins and Ms Kiely create such a positive vibe around the school, and leaves children talking about the fun they have had while learning some new skills and techniques to be more aware and defend themselves.
Our lunch clubs are specially designed and delivered to support children with SEN and additional needs, and an outlet for children to burn off energy. The lunch clubs are for all ages and year groups. Teachers often select students they feel will benefit most from the lunch club sessions. Students grow in confidence in a unique way. These sessions have such a positive impact on the students learning in the classroom and in their behaviour, and most importantly their growth mindset. Teachers have reported that after our lunch clubs the students afternoon sessions become more focused, and behaviour is evident that there is a marked improvement.
Gidae Taekwondo Academy has designed a specific programme to introduce Taekwondo as part of the PE lessons in schools which meet the national education standards. With an up to date Curriculum Evaluation for key stage 1 to 5, and a detailed 12 week lesson plan for each term, Taekwondo is an important and vital sport to add to the school’s PE lessons. We also support BTEC and GCSE PE by offering Taekwondo as a core choice. Taekwondo not only exercises the students bodies but also their minds, and aims to help students become healthier in all aspects of their life.
If your school is interested in adding Taekwondo into their PE provision, then please do get in touch so we can forward you our detailed programme and answer any questions you may have.

Our after school clubs are fast becoming a much sought after service with many schools, and hugely popular with parents. The after school clubs are one of the most popular classes that we run. We follow the WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) syllabus and teach Olympic style Taekwondo bringing the traditional Korean art form into everyday teaching. Students can progress through the belt system, working their way up to black belt and beyond. We hold gradings three time per academic year, where students will progress to the next belt level and receive their new belt and certificate in a ceremony at the end of the grading.
